How do I synchronize contacts to multiple Exchange On-Premises user mailboxes?
sync.blue®
Updated
sync.blue® enables the central distribution of business contacts to local Exchange infrastructures. This ensures error-free name resolution on smartphones and in Outlook clients without needing to install additional apps on the end devices.
Create connection: Click on New Connection and select your desired source.
Select target: Choose as target Microsoft - Exchange On-Premises (Personal Contacts) [Multiple Users].
Configure target fields: Enter the specific data for setting up your Exchange target:
Password: Enter the secret password of your Exchange service account.
User: Enter the email address of your Exchange service account.
Important note: The service account requires explicit read and write permissions for all target mailboxes. Since you do not automatically have these as an Exchange admin, they must be assigned manually. Instructions for this can be found in our article "How do I synchronize the contacts of one Microsoft 365 user with another user?".
Server: Enter the Exchange hostname (e.g., exchange.mycompany.com) or the public IP address.
Port: Enter the publicly accessible port of your server (default is 443).
Important note: In case of connection problems, check your firewall and port openings, as external access may be blocked. Our whitelisting and IP address list can be found here.
Completion: Click the button SAVE AND TEST. Your connection will now be validated; afterwards, synchronization will start according to your interval settings.
