If you choose "Microsoft SQL Server" as source or target for a synchronization of contacts via sync.blue®, you do not have to enter server and SQL server instance name in the "Server" field at the same time, but only the public IP or DNS name of the SQL server.
The trick: each SQL server instance must be assigned a separate network port on the server side. Afterwards, the desired SQL server instance can be addressed in sync.blue® simply via the combination of "Server" (IP or DNS name) and "Port".
You can find instructions from Microsoft on how to configure these ports per server instance here.
