In Which Cases Are Contacts Stored in sync.blue®?

Short answer: In most synchronization scenarios, no.

sync.blue® basically acts as a secure intermediary between the source and the destination. Contact data is read from the source system and synchronized directly to the destination system. The working environment used for synchronization is then deleted again. Contacts are not permanently stored in sync.blue®.

When Are Contacts Still Stored?

Some functions technically require storing contact data within the sync.blue® platform. This applies, for example, to:

• sync.blue® ADDRESS BOOK
• sync.blue® LDAP Server
• sync.blue® MOBILE Storage (CardDAV)

In these cases, contacts are stored so that connected devices, apps, or directory services can access the data.

How Are Stored Contacts Protected?
