With a .mobileconfig file, you can quickly set up your CardDAV access to sync.blue® MOBILE Storage on the iPhone without any technical knowledge — without having to manually enter a username or password. First, create a suitable .mobileconfig file following this guide.
✅ Requirements
- An iPhone with the latest iOS version
- A stable internet connection
- A QR code from sync.blue® support
- Safari as your browser
📸 Step 1: Scan the QR code
- Open the Camera app on your iPhone.
- Point it at the QR code you received from sync.blue® support.
- Tap the pop-up message "Load Configuration Profile".
⬇️ Step 2: Download the profile
- Safari will open automatically.
- Tap "Allow" to download the configuration profile.
- You will see the message:
"Profile downloaded. You can install it in Settings."
⚙️ Step 3: Install the profile
- Open Settings on your iPhone.
- At the top, you will see the notice "Profile Downloaded" → tap it.
- Select the displayed profile (e.g., sync.blue® Company Contacts).
- Tap "Install" (top right).
- Enter your iPhone passcode.
- Confirm again with "Install".

Message "Profile cannot be verified"
No problem — this is normal if Apple cannot automatically validate the certificate. You can still safely tap Install.

- Is the profile fully installed?
- Is the account enabled under Settings → Contacts → Accounts?
Can I delete the profile?
Yes, via Settings → General → VPN & Device Management → Delete Profile
